Position: Accountant III (Domestic Payments and Settlement) - 2 Posts
Reports to: Head of Division

Job Purpose:
To execute accounting duties relating to domestic payments and settlement, reconciliation, accounting entries and examination of payments.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
a) Preparing, examining and analyzing periodic statements of financial position and statement of comprehensive income to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to reporting standards;
b) Monitoring and reviewing accounting entries and related system reports for accuracy and completeness;
c) Resolving accounting entries discrepancies;
d) Reviewing and recommending International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) which are relevant to the Bank;
e) Reconciling internal and intermediary accounts;
f) Maintaining accounting records and preparing accounts and management information;
g) Providing advice and support to internal and external auditors in completing audits;
h) Examining and verifying payments;

Position: Database Administrator II (Networks and Office Automation) - 1 Post

Job Purpose:
To support the Oracle databases and ensure their performance, availability and security.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
a) Installing, testing new versions of Oracle Database Management Systems (DBMS) and upgrading Oracle Servers and application tools;
b) Allocating system storage and planning future storage requirements for database system;
c) Working with Systems Engineers to ensure that the appropriate hardware resources are allocated to the databases for availability and optimum performance;
d) Monitoring database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime;
e) Monitoring and optimizing performance of databases to provide fast query responses to front end users;
f) Developing, managing and testing backup and recovery plans of database information;
g) Ensuring that storage, archiving, backup and recovery procedures are functioning correctly;
h) Controlling and monitoring user access to the database;
i) Writing database documentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions for the data dictionary ('metadata');
j) Performing other related duties as may be assigned by Supervisor.
Education/Professional Qualifications and Experience Required:
a) Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or its equivalent from an accredited institution;
b) A minimum of three (3) years of working experience in Oracle Database Administration in a reputable organization;
c) Experience in managing Oracle RDBMS in large systems;
d) Experience with other database systems, preferably SQL Server;
e) Practical experience in monitoring and tuning a database to provide a high availability service;
f) Practical experience in managing the internal and external Oracle database security;
g) Certification in Database Administration will be an added advantage;
h) Ability to work independently;
i) Experience in Oracle Database Administration tools, PL/SQL Programming, UNIX shell scripting, Oracle Certification preferably OCP will be an added advantage;

Position: Business Analyst II (Information Systems Services) -1 Post

Job Purpose:
To investigate and analyse business activities and recommend actions to make them more efficient by using IT services.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
a) Conducting feasibility studies to identify ICT standards and map them with the Bank’s business processes;
b) Assisting users to prepare functional requirements and liaising with IT developers with a view to preparing appropriate technical specifications;
c) Managing and coordinating systems user acceptance tests and system quality assurance for newly developed or customized software;
d) Reviewing IT system documentations including user guides and technical manuals provided by system developers;
e) Analysing and managing IT system change requests ;
f) Preparing, reviewing and maintaining a repository of specifications, standards and procedures for business systems;
g) Ensuring that IT system requirements are well documented, fully understood by all stakeholders and signed off by business users;

Education/Professional Qualifications and Experience Required:

Position Web Developer III (Systems Design and Administration) - 1 Post

Job Purpose
To design and develop web-based applications and maintain the web applications in order to ensure smooth running at all times.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
k) Analysing, designing, implementing, and maintaining the Bank’s web application systems;
l) Working with IT personnel and cross-functional teams to identify and define requirements for acquiring and creating appropriate applications models or developing web-based applications;
m) Developing and testing web-based applications and making system improvements with a view to ensuring effective support for web application system interfaces;
n) Conducting assessment of web application systems performance and giving recommendations on improvement;
o) Troubleshooting reported web application systems problems and implementing appropriate solutions;
p) Planning and implementing web applications in line with the Systems Development Life Cycle methodology;

Job Purpose:
To develop and implement retail payment systems and provide first-line technical and user support.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
a) Providing technical support on payment systems;
b) Participating in the automation of the payment systems information systems;
c) Conducting research and advising on proposed payment systems products;
d) Conducting daily operations on the national payment systems including initialising the systems and monitoring synchronisation and performance;
e) Providing technical administration on NPS-supported systems;
f) Providing user support to internal and external customers of the National Payment System;
g) Participating in the review and enhancement of NPS-supported systems during relevant product cycles;
h) Carrying out regular testing and maintenance of NPS-supported systems and business continuity arrangements in place;

Job Purpose:
To study existing systems and procedures and develop applications to automate various business operations and ensure smooth running of automated operations.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
a) Analysing, designing, implementing, maintaining and documenting business applications;
b) Working with IT personnel and users to define system requirements and resolving problems;
c) Providing analysis related to software design and development and solving problems;
d) Evaluating the impact of hardware on software performance and recommending changes to system engineers;

Job Purpose:
To install, configure and maintain computers and peripherals in good working condition as well as to support users of IT systems.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
a) Installing, assembling and configuring computers, monitors, Laptops, Mobile devises and peripherals such sprinters, scanners and related hardware;
b) Troubleshooting and repairing computer systems hardware and software as well as other computer peripherals and ICT equipment;
c) Troubleshooting and maintaining network infrastructure;
d) Performing preventive maintenance of ICT equipment;

Job Purpose:
To ensure completeness (fitness-for-purpose) of the architecture, address the design of IT components of the business and the relationship between them to achieve organizational objectives.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
a) Developing and maintaining the Bank’s enterprise architecture framework;
b) Documenting the information architecture process in line with the recommended control objective of the COBIT framework;
c) Preparing various enterprise architecture reports for management’s action;
d) Conducting domain architecture awareness training to employees who handle business, data, applications, and technology and security architecture.

Position: Senior Legal Officer (Anti-Money Laundering-Combating the Financing of Terrorism Unit) - 1 Post

Job Purpose:
To assist the Head of Unit in executing Anti-Money Laundering and Combating of Financing Terrorism (AML – CFT) compliance tasks and in ensuring Bank’s adherence to prevailing AML-CFT laws, regulations, policies, guidelines and recommended practices.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
a) Reporting to the Head of Unit on anti-money laundering and counter financing of terrorism compliance matters;
b) Advising on adequacy and effectiveness of AML-CFT policy, procedures and controls on money laundering activities in the Bank;
c) Reviewing and assessing suspicious transactions reported to the Bank’s AML & CFT office and advising the head of unit accordingly;
d) Providing technical support to AML-CFT reporting officers on the detection and prevention of money laundering and financing of terrorism activities;
e) Assisting the Head of Unit in conducting anti-money laundering awareness and education programs for Bank’s reporting officers and other employees on AML-CFT laws, legislations, policies, guidelines and procedures;
f) Maintaining customer records and suspicious transaction reports;
g) Preparing reports on money laundering and financing terrorism related transactions;
h) Liaising with relevant authorities and counterparts within and outside the Bank on AML & CFT initiatives;
